Front End Developer (Student)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Front End Developer student to join our digital solutions team for the Fall term. You will work onsite in Sault Ste. Marie or Toronto, collaborating with designers and engineers to bring user‑focused features to life.

Key responsibilities

• Gather business requirements from the lab team and translate them into technical specifications.
• Validate the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Collaborate with the development team to design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Develop user‑facing features and create reusable libraries for future projects.
• Execute unit tests to ensure consistency across devices and browsers.
• Identify potential solution risks or issues and communicate them to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong interest in designing and developing user interfaces and single‑page applications.
• Good understanding of coding principles and development workflows.
• Excellent communication skills to support technology and operations partners.
• Eager to learn, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a demanding environment.
• Experience working in an agile team setting.
