Fresh Clerk (Part‑Time)

About the role

The Fresh Clerk joins our Calgary store to ensure that fresh, healthy products are presented beautifully and safely for our customers. You will work closely with the Fresh Manager and team to maintain high visual standards and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.

Key responsibilities

• Handle fresh products safely, following knife and equipment protocols.
• Merchandise items on the sales floor, rotate stock using FIFO, and apply discounting procedures.
• Maintain clean coolers, shelves, and work areas; dispose of waste properly.
• Use Community Natural Foods systems and apps accurately; support new system roll‑outs.
• Greet customers, answer questions, share stories about farmers and vendors, and resolve complaints or refer to a manager when needed.
• Promote sales, cross‑sell, and communicate in‑store events and promotions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma preferred.
• 1–2 years of retail experience, preferably in natural or fresh foods.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and customer‑service skills.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Positive attitude, high energy, and willingness to communicate concerns.
