Framer Apprentice – Construction Site

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Framer Apprentice to join our exterior construction team in Calgary. This full‑time position offers hands‑on experience in framing, measuring and installing building components while working on a variety of job sites.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare layout plans that comply with local building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape and assemble wood, wood‑substitutes and lightweight steel framing members.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and related hardware.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment on dusty construction sites.
• Use personal safety equipment, including steel‑toed boots, throughout the workday.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1‑2 years of related construction or framing experience.
• Physically demanding work capability and willingness to work outdoors.
• Reliability, teamwork orientation and ability to follow safety procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency with measuring tools and layout preparation.
• Cutting and shaping of wood, wood‑substitutes and lightweight steel.
• Assembly and joining of framing components.
• Installation of windows, doors, stairs and mouldings.
