Food Services Manager

About the role

The Food Services Manager will lead daily operations at Nanoose Bay Cafe, ensuring smooth service delivery, staff performance, and customer satisfaction. This role involves planning, supervising a team of 5‑10 employees, managing inventory, and maintaining compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and plan daily operations.
• Monitor revenues and control labour costs.
• Recruit, schedule, train, and supervise staff.
• Conduct performance reviews and enforce liquor legislation.
• Manage cash handling, balance sheets, and financial reports.
• Organize and maintain inventory and negotiate with suppliers.
• Address customer complaints and provide excellent service.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.

Required profile

• College or equivalent diploma with 1‑2 years of relevant education.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in food service management.
• Proven ability to supervise a team of 5‑10 employees.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
• Strong attention to detail and client‑focused attitude.
