Food Services Manager

About the role

The Food Services Manager will lead the daily operations of our food service facilities in Ladysmith, ensuring high‑quality service, safety compliance, and financial performance. This role combines operational oversight with customer focus in a rural setting.

Key responsibilities

• Determine service offerings and implement operational procedures.
• Balance cash, prepare balance sheets, cash reports and related forms.
• Conduct performance reviews and supervise 11‑15 staff members.
• Organise and maintain inventory while controlling costs of products and services.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and address customer complaints.
• Negotiate with suppliers and clients for food, catering, and facility use.
• Participate in marketing plans and promote the food services.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation (high school diploma) or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in food service or hospitality management.
• Ability to manage a budget of $100,001‑$500,000.
• Strong accuracy, client focus, dependability and teamwork.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
