Food Service Supervisor / Shift Manager

About the role

A&W in Chase is looking for reliable, experienced Food Service Supervisors to join the leadership team on a full‑time, permanent basis. You will oversee daily restaurant operations during your assigned shift, ensuring food quality, safety, cleanliness, and exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate front‑line staff during assigned shifts.
• Assign stations, manage breaks, and maintain proper staffing levels.
• Open and close the restaurant, following safe cash‑handling procedures.
• Address operational, staff, or guest concerns professionally.
• Support training, coaching, and onboarding of new employees.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Complete shift documentation and required records accurately.
• Assist with inventory counts, monitor waste, and follow cash‑handling and loss‑prevention procedures.
• Support basic food and labour cost control and routine administrative tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming restaurant environment.
• Deliver prompt, friendly service and handle guest concerns using A&W recovery standards.
• Ensure team appearance and conduct align with the A&W brand.

Required profile

• Reliable and experienced in food‑service or restaurant environments.
• Strong sense of responsibility and pride in work.
• Ability to lead a team, take ownership of a shift, and support both people and performance.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
