Food Service Supervisor

About the role

The Food Service Supervisor will lead a team in a fast‑paced restaurant or concession environment, ensuring that food preparation, service, and safety standards are consistently met. This role combines schedule planning, staff training, and quality control to deliver a reliable dining experience for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain work schedules for 5‑10 staff members.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of food preparers, servers, and kitchen helpers.
• Train employees on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Estimate ingredient and supply needs and manage inventory records.
• Prepare budgets, cost estimates, and regular reports on sales, waste, and repairs.
• Address customer complaints and ensure service meets quality standards.
• Oversee tray assembly, food trolley delivery, and overall food presentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment in noisy, hot, and wet conditions.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation (high school diploma) required.
• 1‑2 years of experience in food service or related supervisory role.
• Strong client focus and excellent oral communication.
• Flexible, team‑oriented attitude with the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and lift as needed.
