Food Service Supervisor

About the role

The Food Service Supervisor oversees daily operations in the restaurant, ensuring schedules are met, supplies are stocked, and food quality standards are maintained. This role also leads staff training, handles customer concerns, and manages budgeting and reporting.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and create work schedules.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures.
  • Hire food service staff and ensure food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates and submit reports.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns.

Required profile

  • Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 1 to less than 2 years of relevant experience.
