Flight-Operations Systems Engineer

About the role

The Flight-Operations Systems Engineer will join the System Engineering Department to define, develop and execute satellite constellation operations. The role involves preparing, implementing, testing and verifying operational procedures for on‑orbit missions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct trade‑off studies and develop satellite/constellation operations procedures.
• Create and oversee Spacecraft In‑Orbit Operations Procedures, operation manuals and test procedures.
• Build verification & validation matrices for commissioning, routine and contingency operations.
• Support In‑Orbit Test (IOT), anomaly resolution and Fault Detection Isolation and Recovery (FDIR).
• Operate satellite simulators and develop automation scripts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in LEO/MEO satellite operations.
• Experience with automated satellite operations and in‑orbit testing.
• Knowledge of flight software, satellite database operations and telemetry structures.

Required skills

• Python or other scripting languages.
• AGI Systems Tool Kit (STK).
• Requirements management tools such as DOORS, Windchill or Jama.
• Experience with constellation operations and automated operation flows.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English; French is a plus.
