Fish Plant Worker – Seasonal Production Role

About the role

Join Pointe Sapin Seafoods as a seasonal Fish Plant Worker in a fast‑paced seafood processing environment. You will help transform fresh catches into market‑ready products while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Cut, clean, trim, and weigh fish fillets according to specifications.
• Unload fish and shellfish from vessels, transport them by hand or forklift, and move products to processing areas.
• Operate and set up machines for cleaning, cutting, cooking, smoking, brining, dehydrating, canning, bagging, and packaging.
• Inspect fillets, grade and label raw materials or finished products, and record production data.
• Apply chemicals, take product samples, and perform corrective machine adjustments as needed.
• Maintain a clean work area, clean machines, and handle waste safely.

Required profile

• Willingness to work in noisy, odorous, dusty, hot, cold, wet, and outdoor environments.
• Physical ability to lift up to 23 kg, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive, demanding tasks.
• Own reliable transportation; public transport not available.
• Flexibility for early‑morning, evening, night, weekend, and on‑call shifts.
• Readiness to relocate within Atlantic Canada provinces.
