Financial Controller – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

Precision Castparts Corporation is seeking a dynamic Financial Controller to lead the finance function for its manufacturing operations in Cambridge. The role combines strategic financial planning with hands‑on oversight of accounting, audits, and asset management, supporting the company’s aerospace supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and strategic business plans.
• Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate inventory and fixed‑asset tracking.
• Lead internal and external audits, including SOX compliance, and recommend process improvements.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and manufacturing teams to align financial capabilities with sales forecasts and margin targets.
• Act as Ethics Officer for Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance and manage internal controls.
• Partner with the Plant Manager on hiring, policy setting, and profit‑improvement initiatives.
• Develop and implement short‑ and long‑range departmental goals, policies, and procedures.
• Manage staffing, performance reviews, and professional development within the finance department.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional designation such as CMA, CGA, or CA.
• Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, preferably in manufacturing or aerospace.
• Strong understanding of SOX requirements and internal audit processes.
