Financial Controller – Manufacturing & Engineered Solutions

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to lead the accounting function for a growing manufacturing and engineered solutions organization. The role partners closely with senior leadership, operations, sales and external auditors to deliver accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls and actionable business insights.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounting cycle, including month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, variance analysis and commentary.
• Manage general ledger activities, reconciliations, journal entries and working papers.
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Analyze cost changes, expenses and performance metrics.
• Establish, monitor and improve internal controls and accounting processes.
• Coordinate internal and external reporting requirements and audit preparation.
• Supervise accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting staff.
• Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis to support business decisions.
• Lead special projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• CPA designation.
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full‑cycle accounting and financial reporting.
• Proven experience preparing financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Track record of implementing and enhancing accounting processes and internal controls.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience mentoring accounting staff.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
