Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Controller to provide strategic financial leadership while overseeing day‑to‑day accounting operations. Reporting to senior leadership, you will drive performance, strengthen controls, and help shape the future direction of the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and finance operations, ensuring timely month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close.
• Manage general ledger, account reconciliations, cash management and monthly financial statements.
• Deliver financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decisions and growth.
• Partner with operational leaders on budgets, forecasts and financial plans.
• Build, mentor and develop a high‑performing finance team.
• Identify and implement process improvements, strengthen internal controls and increase efficiency.
• Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures and compliance frameworks.
• Oversee banking relationships, tax coordination, audits and external reporting.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital and liquidity, providing proactive optimization advice.
• Track KPIs and provide actionable insights to improve profitability.

Required profile

• 7+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including leadership responsibility.
• CPA designation is an asset.
• Strong financial acumen with ability to translate data into business recommendations.
• Proven leadership in building teams, managing performance and fostering a collaborative culture.
• Deep understanding of financial reporting, month‑end close, general ledger, reconciliations and internal controls.
