Financial Controller

About the role

We are partnering with a client to find a Financial Controller who will lead the accounting and financial oversight function. The role combines hands‑on leadership of a small finance team with responsibility for accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and year‑end financial reporting, preparing consolidated statements and analysis.
• Coordinate regulatory and compliance filings, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Direct budgeting and forecasting activities, building financial models and reviewing team outputs.
• Supervise a small accounting team, providing guidance, approvals and quality control.
• Review and authorize payroll, invoices, reconciliations and other transactions.
• Manage treasury functions, including cash flow monitoring, banking activities and funding planning.
• Oversee revenue forecasting by analysing customer volumes and usage trends.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies and audit documentation.
• Monitor financial systems and reporting tools, supporting efficient processes.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented experience in financial leadership or senior corporate accounting.
• Proven leadership experience overseeing staff and improving performance.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and month‑end close.
• Experience with payroll approvals, invoice review, cash management and treasury activities.
• Ability to navigate reporting requirements in a regulated environment.
