Finance Operations Associate

About the role

Zurich Canada is seeking a Finance Operations Associate to join its high‑performing finance team. Reporting to the Finance Accounting and Reporting Manager, you will support a variety of general‑ledger and reporting functions in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and reconcile premiums, non‑premiums, invoices and apply cash.
• Minimize outstanding balances and delinquencies for assigned accounts.
• Monitor trends, anticipate customer needs and provide regular status updates.
• Identify and resolve transaction issues, verify accuracy and follow defined procedures.
• Maintain relationships with brokers, underwriters and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and analytical support to the finance team.
• Analyze account information to reconcile discrepancies and conduct financial research.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with ≥ 3 years of Finance Operations experience, or high school diploma with ≥ 5 years of experience.
• Knowledge of insurance industry agreements and loss‑sensitive programs.

Required skills

• Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable.
• General Ledger and financial record‑keeping.
• Cash application, collections and reconciliation processes.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (advanced Excel).
• SAP experience.
