Field Service Millwright

About the role

Sandvik Mining is looking for a licensed Field Service Millwright to join its Mechanical Cutting division in Western Canada. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining the mechanical components of battery‑electric mining equipment, as well as commissioning new machines at customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and servicing of mining equipment, ensuring compliance with work procedures.
• Plan and gather the correct tools and parts required for each task.
• Conduct pre‑delivery inspections and hot commissioning of equipment at customer locations.
• Execute root cause analysis to identify and resolve recurring issues.
• Provide preventive and cost‑effective repairs, and suggest improvements to customers.
• Document maintenance activities and obtain customer authorization for invoicing.

Required profile

• Valid Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic/Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification.
• Experience with battery‑electric mining equipment and mechanical systems.
• Ability to work on a 14‑days‑on / 14‑days‑off schedule.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
