Field Sales Engineer – Western Canada (Remote)

About the role

Sandvik Machining – Walter Division is looking for a Field Sales Engineer to serve customers across Western Canada. The role can be based in British Columbia or Alberta and is performed remotely, supporting manufacturers in aerospace, defence, oil & gas and other advanced sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sales of Walter tools and services within the assigned territory.
• Build and maintain relationships with manufacturers, subcontractors, end‑users and channel partners.
• Identify technical requirements and recommend value‑added tooling and machining solutions.
• Develop growth opportunities in aerospace, defence, oil & gas and other advanced manufacturing markets.
• Negotiate pricing and delivery within authority and achieve sales and profitability targets.
• Collect and share customer, market and competitive intelligence using CRM systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of machining experience with strong knowledge of turning, milling, drilling and threading.
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints.
• Strong problem‑solving aptitude and customer‑focused mindset.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel across Canada.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
