Field Sales Engineer – Western Canada

About the role

Sandvik Machining – Walter Division is looking for a Field Sales Engineer to support customers across Western Canada. Based in either British Columbia or Alberta, you will work remotely while travelling to meet clients in the aerospace, defence, oil & gas and other advanced manufacturing sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sales of Walter products and services within the assigned territory.
• Build and maintain relationships with manufacturers, subcontractors, end‑users and channel partners.
• Identify technical requirements and recommend value‑added tooling and machining solutions.
• Develop growth opportunities in aerospace, defence, oil & gas and other sectors.
• Negotiate pricing and delivery within authorized limits.
• Achieve sales and profitability targets through effective territory planning.
• Gather and communicate market and competitive intelligence using CRM and internal systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of machining experience with strong knowledge of turning, milling, drilling and threading.
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints.
• Strong technical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
• Proven ability to build, manage and grow customer relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel across Canada.
