Field Operator – Edson District

About the role

The Field Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Canlin’s gas and oilfield production assets in the Edson district. Working on a 7‑on/7‑off shift schedule, you will support both Edson South assets and occasional broader district operations while living on‑site in camp accommodation.

Key responsibilities

• Operate sour gas wells, field compression units, pipeline pigging, and plunger lift systems.
• Monitor and adjust chemical injection rates to meet equipment throughput requirements.
• Maintain accurate daily equipment logs and electronic reports using OpLynx.
• Collaborate with the Production Coordinator and Integrated Remote Operations Center (IROC) to ensure optimal asset performance.
• Respond to on‑call situations and support emergency response as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma; trades or technical certification is a strong asset.
• Valid certifications in H2S Alive, First Aid, WHMIS, and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG).
• Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean abstract.
• Ability to work safely in a sour‑gas processing environment and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lb, navigate stairs/ladders, and perform manual tasks.
