Field Engineer

About the role

The Field Engineer will support the Fraser Crossing Partners joint‑venture project, a new four‑lane cable‑stayed bridge over the Fraser River in British Columbia. You will work closely with project crews to keep construction on schedule, within budget, and aligned with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Meet daily with project crews to review the production schedule and confirm availability of materials, equipment, and resources.
• Participate in safety toolbox talks, daily tailboard meetings, risk assessments, and weekly safety inspections.
• Collect, coordinate, and analyse shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements, and other project data throughout the construction phase.
• Support the coordination of connecting roadways, grade separations, and bridge removal activities as required.

Required profile

• Background in engineering, construction, or a related technical field.
• Strong focus on safety and ability to conduct risk assessments and inspections.
• Effective communication skills for daily interaction with crews and stakeholders.
• Organisational ability to manage documentation such as shop drawings and design specifications.
