Field Engineer

About the role

ConeTec is seeking a Field Engineer to join its geotechnical and geo‑environmental team in Surrey. You will be responsible for the safe, efficient and accurate operation of site investigation equipment, supporting a variety of projects across North America.

Key responsibilities

• Operate CPTu, VST, sampling systems and a range of geophysical and in‑situ testing equipment.
• Mobilise and demobilise equipment in remote or hard‑to‑access locations, handling logistics and routine maintenance.
• Collect, log and submit field data, samples, notes and photos to engineers or clients for processing.
• Prepare daily and final field reports ensuring high data quality.
• Adhere to ConeTec’s safety culture and procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication abilities.
• Problem‑solving mindset with a willingness to take on varied roles such as equipment operator or project coordinator.
• Interest in developing expertise in soil mechanics, in‑situ testing and geophysical investigations.
