Field Coordinator

About the role

BUILD IT is seeking a Field Coordinator to support a high‑profile hospitality construction project in Jasper, AB. This full‑time, on‑site role offers early‑career professionals the chance to work directly with experienced Project Managers and Site Supervisors, gaining exposure to every phase of a commercial build.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and Site Supervisor throughout the project lifecycle, handling documentation and daily reporting.
• Upload and manage all project documents, purchase orders, shop drawings, change orders, and close‑out materials in Procore.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers, verify lead times, confirm quotes, and flag any delays.
• Review subcontractor quotes, ensure scope coverage, and monitor material orders to prevent site issues.
• Track project progress and budgets, escalating risks and assisting with permitting and safety compliance.
• Arrange accommodation for team members in Jasper, managing bookings and addressing any concerns.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in commercial construction, preferably with exposure to hospitality, restaurant, or retail projects.
• Background in construction, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction and millwork drawings.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Procore for document management, PO tracking, and daily reporting.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with Google Suite.
