Family Assistant – Full-time Position in Montreal

About the role

A warm family in Montreal is looking for a reliable and caring Family Assistant to support daily routines for two children (ages 4 and 6) and keep the household organized. The role combines childcare, meal preparation, and light household tasks, offering a stable, long‑term position in a respectful home environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and engage the children throughout the day, including after‑school routines and extracurricular activities.
• Prepare healthy family‑style dinners and pack lunches for the children.
• Assist with grocery shopping, pantry management, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Maintain tidy bedrooms, play areas, and children’s laundry.
• Support homework sessions and organize age‑appropriate educational activities.
• Collaborate with a cleaner for light household duties related to the children.
• Occasionally cover extended hours or weekends as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a nanny, family or household assistant, or similar private‑household role.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Professional, discreet, trustworthy and reliable.
• Patient, energetic and genuinely enjoys working with young children.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada and fluent in English or French (bilingualism a plus).

Required skills

• Cooking skills for preparing nutritious meals.
• Children CPR and First Aid certification.
• Valid driver’s licence (asset).
