Facilities Technician / Technicien d'installations

About the role

As a Facilities Technician at Playground, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the building systems of a large gaming and hospitality complex located near Montreal. The role involves hands‑on work to keep the facility safe, operational and attractive for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of premises, equipment and building systems.
• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC, generators, ventilation and other mechanical/electrical assets.
• Execute everyday repairs, including plumbing, electrical, painting, plastering and minor renovations.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and resolve them on site.
• Disassemble and reassemble machines or equipment to replace defective parts.
• Move gaming machines, tables and heavy objects safely.
• Supervise external contractors when specialized services are required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a maintenance or facilities role, preferably in a commercial or hospitality environment.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly.
• Bilingual French/English is an asset.
• Valid work permit or Canadian residency.
• Technical college degree or related certification is a plus.

Required skills

• HVAC and ventilation system maintenance.
• Generator upkeep and troubleshooting.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Use of hand and power tools (hammers, hoists, saws, drills).
• Precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices.
