Experienced Vehicle Fire Suppression Technician

About the role

Everguard Fire Safety is seeking an experienced Vehicle Fire Suppression Technician to join its national team. You will work on commercial, industrial, mining and institutional sites across British Columbia, installing, inspecting, maintaining and repairing vehicle fire suppression systems.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and validate vehicle fire suppression systems.
• Perform mechanical and electrical testing of system components.
• Replace, repair and certify system parts.
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications and manuals.
• Evaluate customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Complete documentation and daily work reports.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of field experience with vehicle fire suppression systems.
• Training on Ansul, Amerex, Kidde, Dafo, Fogmaker or similar systems.
• Additional fire service certifications are a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work safely, independently and professionally.
• Customer‑focused attitude and valid driver’s licence.
• Willingness to travel to remote sites and work overtime with premium pay.
