Experienced Exploration Driller – Diamond Core Drilling

About the role

Geotech Drilling, a member of the ConeTec Group, is seeking an Experienced Exploration Driller to join its remote camp in Nunavut. You will operate diamond core drilling equipment on surface exploration projects, delivering high‑quality core samples for geotechnical and environmental studies.

Key responsibilities

• Extract core samples using the Zinex A5 Diamond Core Drill.
• Monitor pressure gauges, feed and weight indicators, and assess the colour, volume and consistency of drill returns.
• Apply project‑specific sampling techniques and maintain accurate records.
• Operate and troubleshoot drill rigs and ancillary equipment such as trucks, pumps, heaters, compressors and mud recirculation systems.
• Supervise the Drill Assistant and crew to ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Ensure the Drill Assistant keeps equipment, supplies and tooling organized.

Required profile

• Valid Class 5 or Class 7 driver’s licence.
• Minimum five years of experience in surface exploration drilling.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and repairing small equipment.
• Successful completion of a pre‑employment drug and alcohol test.
