About the role
We are seeking a skilled bricklayer to join our construction team in Calgary. The role involves preparing and laying various masonry units for residential and commercial projects, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles, and other masonry units.
- Estimate required materials, tools, and equipment for each project.
- Cut and trim bricks and blocks to specifications using hand and power tools.
- Construct and install prefabricated masonry units, including chimneys, fireplaces, and industrial shells.
Required profile
- Client‑focused with strong interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physically capable of handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
- Willing to work evenings, mornings, days, and weekends as needed.
Required skills
- Masonry techniques for brick and block installation.
- Use of hand tools for cutting and trimming.
- Use of power tools for shaping and fitting masonry units.
