Events Marketing Manager

About the role

Wagepoint is seeking an Events Marketing Manager to own the strategy, planning, and execution of its event program, including tradeshows, webinars, and the annual virtual Wagefest. This remote‑first role reports to the Growth Marketing Manager and focuses on driving growth for small‑business customers across Canada.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the annual event calendar, evaluating opportunities based on audience, cost, reach, and business impact.
• Lead end‑to‑end planning and execution of tradeshows, industry events, partner/customer events, and the two‑day virtual Wagefest.
• Manage event budgets, negotiate with vendors, and oversee logistics such as booth design, shipping, staffing, and on‑site coordination.
• Create repeatable playbooks, checklists, and templates to scale the event program.
• Define success metrics, track ROI, and use insights to improve future events.
• Own the webinar strategy, coordinating scheduling, speaker management, promotion, live production, and post‑event follow‑up.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in event, field, or experiential marketing.
• Proven track record of managing events from strategy through post‑event measurement.
• Strong project‑management and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to align events to growth objectives.

Required skills

• Experience with event platforms, marketing automation, and CRM tools for registration and follow‑up.
• Webinar production skills, including platform setup, promotion, and live execution.
• Budget planning and vendor negotiation.
• Ability to build detailed event plans, timelines, and success metrics.
