About the role

Join Relay’s Demand Generation team to build and scale an owned‑event and community marketing engine that turns ecosystem partner and SMB community relationships into repeatable, brand‑building motions.

Key responsibilities

• Build genuine, long‑term relationships with premium SMB communities and turn them into recurring full‑funnel programming opportunities.
• Own ecosystem partner co‑marketing activations and develop partner‑powered playbooks to drive leads, demos and approvals.
• Design and execute the 2027 Relay‑owned virtual and in‑person event calendar, creating a cross‑functional strategy that raises brand awareness and fuels short‑term excitement.
• Translate learnings from owned‑event pilots into a repeatable playbook measured against brand awareness and pipeline quality.
• Run events as relationship engines, handling pre‑event warming, on‑site activation and post‑event follow‑up coordinated with Sales.

Required profile

• 4+ years of event and partner management experience delivering end‑to‑end multi‑stakeholder programs.
• Proven track record of building community relationships that generate measurable business results.
• Data‑driven mindset: able to tie events and community programs to awareness and pipeline outcomes and adjust tactics accordingly.
• Experience running co‑marketing with ecosystem or platform partners such as Gusto or Xero.
• Self‑starter who can define the role while shipping impactful work within the first 90 days.
• Based in Toronto and able to work hybrid with travel to events and community gatherings.
