Evening Shift Production Supervisor

About the role

Agropur is hiring an Evening Shift Production Supervisor in St-Laurent, Quebec, reporting to the Production Manager. The role manages production teams and oversees manufacturing from raw material reception to finished product distribution, helping deliver quality, volume, cost and timeline targets while promoting safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement. The shift runs Monday to Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production activities from raw material receiving through processing, packaging, aging (where applicable) and shipping, keeping to schedules and customer requirements.
• Deliver the production plan for volume, quality and cost by coordinating manufacturing processes and work teams.
• Manage raw materials, ingredients and cleaning products, and plan workforce requirements.
• Supervise, coach and develop production teams, and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
• Enforce health and safety standards (lockout/tagout, machine safety, confined spaces, WHMIS) and quality, sanitation and food safety requirements (SQF, HACCP, GMP).
• Oversee sanitation, support environmental compliance, monitor KPIs and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in plant committees and foster a culture of operational efficiency.

Required profile

• College diploma or bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Food Processing or a related field; equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment; food or dairy experience is an asset.
• Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
• Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.

Required skills

• Knowledge of health and safety, food safety (HACCP, SQF) and quality standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Kronos or Workday experience is an asset.
• Leadership, communication and organizational skills, able to work in a fast-paced environment.
