Ethnic Food Cook – East Indian, Vegetarian, Vegan

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Ethnic Food Cook to join our busy kitchen in Edmonton. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking East Indian, vegetarian, gluten‑free and vegan dishes while ensuring high standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate special events, buffets and banquets.
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies, maintain inventory and records.
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes according to menu specifications.
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas for cleanliness and compliance.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
• Order supplies and equipment, recruit and hire staff as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Excellent time‑management, organization and reliability.
• Capability to stand for extended periods and work under pressure.
