Estimating Manager

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage accurate budgets and cost estimates for structural steel projects.
• Read and review blueprints and project documents to develop precise takeoffs.
• Lead a team of 5‑10 estimators, providing guidance and ensuring timely delivery of estimates.
• Serve as the primary contact for new and existing clients, offering expert advice.
• Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and best practices for the estimating department.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and organizational abilities with a critical‑thinking mindset.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships.
• Experience leading and mentoring a dynamic estimating team.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative on additional responsibilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Excel (part of the MS Suite).
• Experience using Bluebeam for document review.
• Knowledge of Tekla Powerfab or Fabsuite for steel detailing.
