Equipment Superintendent

About the role

As an Equipment Superintendent you will provide hands‑on, day‑to‑day support to operations, ensuring maximum availability and uptime of vehicles and construction equipment. Your technical expertise will help maintain safety, reliability and optimal utilization of the fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Support Ledcor’s core values of safety, quality, integrity, sustainability and success.
• Maintain clear, timely equipment maintenance documentation following Ledcor’s processes.
• Optimize fleet utilization and manage third‑party rentals.
• Coordinate mobilization and demobilization of vehicles and equipment.
• Become the subject‑matter expert for local equipment, working with suppliers to ensure fleet uptime.
• Oversee maintenance technicians in servicing and repairing equipment.
• Assist with invoice processing, purchase order issuance and proper coding.
• Analyze equipment performance trends and plan proactively for upcoming work.

Required profile

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in fleet maintenance of vehicles and construction equipment.
• Familiarity with maintenance and work‑order practices.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ability to learn new computer systems.
• Experience with JD Edwards or a comparable ERP system is an asset.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks, setting priorities and following written procedures.
