Entry-Level Field Sampling Technician

About the role

Join Bureau Veritas Canada as an Entry‑Level Field Sampling Technician in Fort St. John. You will support the collection of high‑quality, legally defensible data from various product and process streams while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct basic field sampling projects under the guidance of senior technologists.
• Review field data with supervisors to ensure compliance with test methods and protocols.
• Prepare equipment, chemicals, and safety documentation; perform field sampling, QA/QC, and daily reporting.
• Maintain, repair, and calibrate sampling equipment as directed.
• Provide professional customer service and represent Bureau Veritas positively.
• Maintain vehicle fleet cleanliness and readiness.
• Perform QA/QC of data for reporting and management.
• Use personal gas monitors and required PPE on all field assignments.
• Support company policies, quality system, and health & safety programs.
• Participate in lab meetings, audits, and provide general lab support.

Required profile

• 2‑year technical diploma or 0‑2 years of chemistry‑related work experience.
• Basic understanding of well and plant processing techniques.
• Knowledge of sampling methods and theories.
• Familiarity with basic chemistry, plumbing, and electrical concepts.
• Willingness to travel, work extended hours, and comply with safety procedures.
• Good driving record meeting federal carrier requirements.
