Entry-Level AML Analyst (Remote, Canada)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Entry‑Level Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) Analyst to join our compliance team. This fully remote position supports financial crime prevention by monitoring transactions and reviewing customer activity for Canadian clients.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer transactions and account activity for suspicious behavior.
• Conduct AML/KYC checks and due‑diligence reviews.
• Investigate alerts generated by transaction monitoring systems.
• Escalate suspicious activities and prepare detailed documentation for review.
• Maintain accurate records of investigations and compliance activities.
• Support ongoing compliance monitoring and reporting processes.
• Assist with sanctions screening and regulatory checks.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure adherence to AML policies and procedures.
• Stay updated on AML regulations and compliance standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Criminal Justice, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of AML, KYC and compliance concepts.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with transaction monitoring tools or AML software.
• Familiarity with FINTRAC regulations and Canadian compliance standards (preferred).
• CAMS certification or willingness to pursue it (optional).
