Engineering Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Specialist to join our engineering team in Puslinch, Ontario. The role combines structural engineering principles with mechanical/HVAC concepts to design and deliver air-supported fabric dome projects across North America and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Design air-supported structures using structural engineering methods.
• Perform HVAC calculations, including air-leakage and internal pressurisation requirements.
• Develop preliminary foundation and superstructure designs and fabric patterning layouts.
• Prepare technical specifications, assist with equipment selection, and coordinate drawing packages for external review.
• Conduct site visits, field surveys, and installation assessments.
• Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, and external engineering consultants.
• Participate in client meetings, project meetings and manage multiple projects through various delivery stages.
• Support troubleshooting of design and manufacturing challenges and gradually take ownership of projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 3–5 years of engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Structural, Civil, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong foundation in structural engineering; willingness to expand mechanical/HVAC knowledge.
