About the role
Use your communications and storytelling skills to make a real impact. BCI is seeking an Employee Communications Co‑op/Intern for the Winter 2027 work term (January‑April) to join the Employee Communications team in the Global Communications Department, supporting internal communications strategies, events, and content that tell BCI’s story to its growing employee base.
Key responsibilities
- Review, write, and edit compelling content for internal and external audiences across the corporate intranet, LinkedIn, and the BCI website, coordinating approvals and creating visuals and digital videos.
- Lead an audit of current content and requests while developing a new Employee Communications content strategy.
- Research multi‑channel communication campaigns and help test potential future channels.
- Support planning, development, and execution of corporate events such as knowledge‑series sessions and Town Halls.
- Provide document, image, and video editing support as required.
- Contribute to additional initiatives during the term, including news content, video work, and scripting.
Required profile
- Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Business or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading abilities with attention to detail.
- Creative ability to translate complex topics into compelling stories.
- Effective project‑management skills in a deadline‑driven environment.
- Understanding of both written and visual communication importance.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Strong research, analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
