Elementary School Teacher – Private School

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Elementary School Teacher to join our private school community. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and collaborate with parents and staff to support each child's development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and evaluate lessons using discussions, audio‑visual tools, and field trips.
• Assign, correct, and grade homework and tests in line with the approved curriculum.
• Identify individual learning needs and provide targeted tutoring assistance.
• Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences, and teacher‑training workshops.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate results to parents and school officials.
• Develop course content and prepare subject material for presentation.
• Lead activities that promote physical, mental, and social development and school readiness.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• 1 to less than 2 years of teaching experience.
• Provincial or territorial teaching certificate.
• Fluency in English or French (both languages acceptable).
• Ability to work in a private‑school environment and collaborate with parents and staff.
