Electromechanic - Day Shift

About the role

Techo-Bloc, a manufacturer of high-end landscaping products in North America, is hiring an Electromechanic for its day shift (7:00 AM to 4:00 PM) in Chambly. Working under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Electromechanic maintains, repairs and upgrades hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical and automated components so that production equipment can be restarted quickly. The pay is up to $40 per hour depending on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and replace hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical components, following health and safety standards
• Diagnose faults and read hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical plans
• Perform preventive maintenance and use machining tools to make parts needed for repairs and assembly
• Help install or improve production equipment and communicate regularly with operators
• Keep the workplace clean, safe and organised, and look for ways to improve productivity
• Carry out other related tasks

Required profile

• Diploma in industrial mechanics or electromechanics
• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in manufacturing
• Spoken and written French and English
• Physical stamina: frequent lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds (23 kg)

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of cutting, manufacturing and welding tools
• Ability to read plans, sketches and service bulletins
• Autonomy, problem-solving and teamwork
