The Electrical Estimator will prepare estimates on electrical construction projects and may provide technical support to project operations.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, engineers and contractors.
• Prepare cost estimates for materials, labour and equipment based on bids, quotations, schematics and specifications.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications and project documents to determine scope and requirements.
• Factor overhead, insurance, taxes and contingencies into estimates and identify cost risks.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to align estimates with project goals.
• Coordinate price packages with suppliers, subcontractors, owners, designers and architects.
• Attend pre‑bid meetings and site visits to gather field data and review tenders.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in engineering, estimating, project management or construction engineering technology (experience in the electrical trade may substitute).
• 1‑3 years of experience estimating electrical construction projects.
