Electrical Designer / Engineer (Project Lead)

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Designer / Engineer to lead small to mid‑sized projects, design electrical building systems and mentor junior staff within HIDI’s multidisciplinary engineering consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead small to mid‑sized projects, managing scope, schedule and deliverables.
• Coordinate project activities, identify scheduling or resourcing challenges and ensure milestones are met.
• Design and develop electrical systems, prepare and review drawings, specifications and technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and HIDI design practices.
• Support client communication, present designs and technical solutions, and assist in proposal preparation.
• Assign, review and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in building services electrical design.
• Strong technical foundation in electrical systems design and knowledge of codes and standards.
• Excellent communication, presentation and client‑relationship skills.
• Proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset with strong analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
