Electric Motor Systems Technician

About the role

We are seeking an Electric Motor Systems Technician to join our on‑site service team in Calgary. The role involves diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a range of electro‑mechanical equipment for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine work requirements.
• Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of motors, transformers, switchgear, generators and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair or replace faulty components, including shafts, bearings, commutators and wiring.
• Use machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts as needed.
• Perform static and dynamic balancing of armatures or rotors.
• Conduct on‑site servicing, testing repaired equipment and ensuring proper performance.

Required profile

• Trade certificate or diploma in a related field.
• 1 – 7 months of relevant experience.
• Ability to work physically demanding tasks and handle heavy loads.
• Willingness to work mornings, days and overtime as required.
