Early Childhood Educator (ECE) – Level 3

About the role

Grow with Joy Child Care is seeking a Level 3 Early Childhood Educator to join its team in Whitehorse. You will provide nurturing care and educational programming for infants, toddlers, and school‑age children, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist co‑workers with housekeeping, cooking duties and maintain daycare equipment.
• Bathe, diaper, feed, and support infants and toddlers in daily routines.
• Develop and implement child‑care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional and social development.
• Lead storytelling, songs, crafts and outings to engage children in creative learning.
• Observe children for learning or behavioural concerns, prepare reports and communicate observations to parents and supervisors.
• Order supplies, keep records, and ensure compliance with licensing regulations.
• Plan and organize activities for school‑age children before and after regular school hours.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in a child‑care centre.
• ECE Level 3 certification (Child Development Supervisor) and an Early Childhood Education certificate.
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Clear criminal record check, medical exam, immunizations and tuberculosis test.
• Strong punctuality, dependability, interpersonal and communication skills.
