Early Childhood Educator Assistant

About the role

The Centre des Femmes Interculturel Claire is looking for a compassionate Early Childhood Educator Assistant to support infants and toddlers in our Montréal‑Nord facility. Working part‑time, you will help create a safe, nurturing environment that promotes children’s physical, cognitive, emotional and social development.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, diapering, feeding, and dressing of infants and toddlers.
• Support educators in delivering programs that encourage creativity through art, music, dramatic play and physical activity.
• Prepare snacks, set up rooms for meals and rest periods, and maintain a clean, secure environment.
• Observe children for signs of learning or behavioural issues and document observations for supervisors and parents.
• Participate in staff meetings to discuss children’s progress and any concerns.
• Help children develop proper eating, dressing and toileting habits.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1‑6 months of experience working with young children.
• Reliability, punctuality and ability to work well in a team.
• Honesty, attention to detail and capacity to multitask.
