Drywall Taper – Skilled Plastering Technician

About the role

BEST DRYWALL & INSULATION LTD. is seeking a reliable Drywall Taper to join its team in Edmonton. You will work on a variety of construction sites, applying your plastering expertise to deliver smooth, high‑quality finishes.

Key responsibilities

• Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster on walls and ceilings.
• Prepare and clean surfaces, then cure freshly plastered areas.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowels and broad knives.
• Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets.
• Mix plaster ingredients to the required consistency and smooth excess compound.
• Use a taping machine to embed tape in joint compound.
• Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms, working safely at heights.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation (high school diploma).
• 1 to less than 2 years of experience in drywall or plaster work.
• Ability to work on various locations and at heights.
• Physical stamina for manual labour and handling of tools.
