Drywall Taper

About the role

NH Drywall Ltd is seeking an experienced Drywall Taper to join its team in Edmonton. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality finishes on a variety of commercial and residential projects.

Key responsibilities

• Apply successive coats of joint compound, sand seams and joints to a smooth finish.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place acoustic or coffered panels.
• Fill nail indentations, holes and cracks with compound using trowels and broad knives.
• Measure, cut, fit and securely attach drywall sheets to metal or wood studs and joists.
• Use a taping machine to embed tape in compound and finish joints.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment while working under pressure.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation (high school diploma).
• 2–3 years of hands‑on experience as a drywall finisher/taper.
• Physical ability to bend, crouch, kneel and perform repetitive manual tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, client‑focused attitude and reliability.
• Team player who can adapt to varying job sites.
