Dressmaker – Made-to-Measure Garments

About the role

We are seeking a talented dressmaker to produce high-quality, made-to-measure garments for our customers and to support the manufacturing process at our Saint-Ambroise workshop.

Key responsibilities

• Construct made-to-measure garments by following detailed customer specifications and internal manufacturing guidelines.
• Perform fitting, alterations, and repairs on garments to ensure optimal fit and finish.
• Lay out, cut, sew, and press fabrics to create hats and related accessories.
• Operate industrial sewing machines or sew by hand, accurately marking and cutting fabric pieces.

Required profile

• No formal degree, certificate or diploma is required; we value practical experience.
• Between 1 and 2 years of hands-on experience in garment making or tailoring.

Required skills

• Operation of sewing machines (industrial and domestic).
• Hand sewing techniques for detailed work.
• Precise fabric marking and cutting.
• Pressing and finishing of sewn items.
