Director, PMO

About the role

The Director, PMO will lead the creation and scaling of a high‑performing Project Management Office for a fast‑growing SaaS organization in Canada. Reporting to executive leadership, you will combine strategic vision with hands‑on execution to ensure customer implementations and professional services are delivered on time, within scope, and with strong financial discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Define and enforce governance frameworks, delivery standards, methodologies, KPIs, tools and reporting structures for all projects.
• Oversee portfolio health, managing risks, dependencies, resource allocation and performance metrics.
• Serve as primary escalation point for delivery issues and drive cross‑functional resolution.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Project Managers, setting performance expectations and supporting career growth.
• Ensure rigorous execution of implementation projects, covering scope, schedule, risk, stakeholder and issue management.
• Drive continuous improvement of delivery methodologies and adopt AI‑enabled workflows and automation.
• Manage professional services operations including forecasting, utilization, capacity planning and margin performance.
• Develop executive dashboards and reporting to provide visibility into project and portfolio performance.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in PMO, program management or project delivery leadership within SaaS or enterprise software environments.
• Strong business and financial acumen with a track record of delivering projects on budget.
• Proven ability to partner with executive leadership, product, engineering, sales, finance and customer success teams.
• Demonstrated experience building and scaling high‑performing project management teams.
