Director of Operations

About the role

We are looking for a strategic operations leader to take full ownership of three manufacturing plants and two distribution centers in Quebec. You will shape the operational future of a global specialty materials company by driving safety, quality, cost performance and long‑term growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage plant budgets, labor, production costs and capital expenditures while aligning financial performance with revenue targets.
• Lead managers across production, logistics, engineering, procurement, quality, health & safety and maintenance, setting performance objectives and building succession pipelines.
• Ensure seamless collaboration with sales, supply chain and finance, tracking KPIs for production, quality, safety and logistics.
• Design and execute a long‑term strategy to improve site performance, including investments, workforce planning and production enhancements.
• Drive continuous improvement by staying current with new technologies, manufacturing processes and implementing annual cost‑reduction plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of strategic operations management experience.
• Proven experience managing multiple sites (essential).
• Strong financial management and P&L ownership.
