Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

About the role

Our client, a high‑growth telecommunications organization, is looking for a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to support a multi‑year network expansion and rapid customer growth. Reporting to the VP of FP&A, you will act as the finance partner for Customer Operations and Sales & Marketing, providing insights that drive budgeting, cost management and strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary finance partner to Customer Operations and Sales & Marketing.
• Improve forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting accuracy.
• Analyze performance, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Drive cost optimisation, productivity improvements, and process efficiencies.
• Track capital and operating expenditures against plan.
• Support business cases, financial modelling, and strategic initiatives, including M&A.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally and contribute to corporate planning and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or a related field; MBA, CPA or CFA preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience supporting large capital projects; telecom or infrastructure background is an asset.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Proven ability to influence and operate in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
